What is Agentic AI?
Agentic AI is a type of AI that can make choices, function without much direct human supervision, and use autonomous intelligent agents to tackle tough issues. These AI agents can develop plans, labour towards a goal, check on progress, and make informed choices. This means that they can handle or automate a lot of different occupations and duties that used to need people to do them.
It can automate and accomplish things for a user because it can communicate with systems, platforms, and tools. Agentic AI systems can also work on difficult tasks that need more than one agent. They can work together and keep lines of communication open.
How does it function?
- Natural language processing and breaking tasks down - The agent employs large language models to figure out what to do and what is most important. This is done by employing prompt engineering and template matching to change natural language into structured task representations.
- Making plans and putting things in order - It creates branching task sequences that demonstrate what must be done while considering basic dependencies and restrictions by using predefined action schemas and planning that is focused on goals.
- Learning and execution - The agent watches for signs of success and failure in the area where it can operate. It changes its approach based on what happens by using simple heuristics and principles that have already been set up. With dedicated in-built memory, it also remembers detailed actions of each activity and piece of information.
